Terms
These terms govern the use of Domofolio, the app that keeps the data, documents and deadlines of your home in order. By using the app you accept them.
1. Who provides the service
Domofolio is provided by Gabriele Ruiz. Contact: gabrieleruiz.dev@gmail.com.
2. The service
Domofolio lets you record the appliances and systems of your home, store their documents, keep track of warranties, maintenance and interventions, get reminders and export your data.
Some features use artificial intelligence: document reading and, in paid plans, the assistant that answers questions about your data.
3. Account
Using the app requires an account, created with Apple or Google. You are responsible for what happens with your account and must be at least 18 years old.
You can delete the account whenever you like from the app (Profile > Delete data).
4. Free plan and paid plans
The free plan has limits, shown in the app (for example on the number of documents). Paid plans raise them and add features.
To protect the service, all plans have daily usage limits, for example on uploads and on questions to the assistant.
We may change features and limits. If a change significantly reduces what you have already paid for, we will tell you beforehand and your right to cancel is unaffected.
5. Subscriptions and payments
Subscriptions are bought through Apple's App Store or Google Play, which handle the payment. Price and duration are shown before the purchase.
The subscription renews automatically for the same duration unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can cancel at any time in your store account settings: the subscription stays active until the end of the period already paid.
Refunds and the right of withdrawal follow the rules of the store where you bought. The rights the law gives to consumers are unaffected.
Deleting the account does not cancel the subscription: it must be cancelled in the store.
6. Your content
The data and documents you enter remain yours. You authorise us to store and process them only to provide the service, as described in the privacy notice.
Upload only content you have the right to use and that concerns the management of your home. You can export everything at any time, free of charge.
7. Fair use
You may not use Domofolio for unlawful activities, upload content that is illegal or infringes other people's rights, try to access other users' data, get around the limits of the service or compromise its operation.
In case of serious breaches we may suspend or close the account.
8. Artificial intelligence, reminders and maintenance
The data read from documents and the assistant's answers are generated automatically and may contain mistakes: always check them before relying on them.
Recommended maintenance and its intervals are general guidance; they do not replace the manufacturer's instructions or the opinion of a qualified technician. Legal obligations (for example heating system checks) vary by region and remain your responsibility.
Reminders are an aid: they may not arrive, for example if notifications are turned off or if you have not opened the app for a while. The duration and validity of a warranty depend on the documents and on the law, not on what is written in the app.
9. Availability of the service
We do what we can to keep the service available and your data safe, but we do not guarantee that it will work without interruptions or errors. We recommend keeping the originals of important documents and exporting your data from time to time.
10. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damage or for damage arising from use of the app contrary to these terms, from data entered incorrectly or from unverified artificial intelligence results.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or the rights the law gives to consumers.
11. Ending
You can stop using Domofolio and delete the account at any time. Should we discontinue the service, we will tell you with reasonable notice, so that you can export your data.
12. Changes to the terms
We may update these terms. If the changes are significant we will tell you in the app before they take effect; if you do not accept them you can delete the account.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer, the mandatory protections of the law of the country where you live are unaffected, and the court of your place of residence or domicile has jurisdiction.
